Michael Carroll made a spooky find on the evening of October 30th, 2018, just in time for Halloween when he came upon a skeleton. The skeleton was buried eight feet below the ground in the basement of his Long Island home. He felt a sense of relief. The quest for his father, George, had lasted for years, but it had finally paid off. According to the police, the skeleton remains of a man who had been reported missing in 1961 were discovered in the home on Long Island where his family lived, which prompted a homicide inquiry on the part of the authorities. According to the Suffolk County Police Department, George Carroll’s son Michael and two of his grandkids found his skeletal remains on Halloween. Michael was accompanied by the grandsons. The discovery was made by them while they were doing some digging in the basement of their house in Lake Grove. It was sent to the office of the medical examiner in Suffolk County, New York, so that an anthropologist might conduct research on it. The identification of George Carroll’s remains as the owner of the bones discovered in the woods was made public by the police on Wednesday during a news conference.
