#19: Will Smith Joined Su*cide Squad (2016) to Play a Different Kind of Character
After years of playing heroes and positive leading men, Will Smith wanted something different. Su*cide Squad (2016) gave him the chance to portray Deadshot, a character who operated outside normal moral boundaries. Smith described the experience as freeing because he no longer had to serve as the story’s ethical center.
