#11: Charlize Theron
A spy fight in Atomic Blonde (2017) does not look elegant for very long. People tire, stumble, breathe heavily, and start using whatever furniture happens to be within reach. That exhaustion was central to the film’s celebrated stairwell sequence, and Theron trained for roughly two and a half months to make the choreography possible. Director David Leitch, himself a former stunt performer, estimated that about 95 percent of the stairwell action was really her, with stunt double Monique Ganderton stepping in where the risk demanded it.
