#18: Shia LaBeouf
The frantic physical energy of his early blockbusters was not created entirely in an editing room. During the period encompassing Transformers (2007) and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), contemporary reports credited LaBeouf with performing roughly 95 percent of his stunt work. Running, scrambling over sets and throwing himself into action suited the nervous intensity that had already become part of his screen personality. The consequences were not always cosmetic. While filming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), he was struck near the eye by shrapnel from an explosion and returned to work after treatment.
