Actors who were infamously hard to work with

Marlon Brando arrived for Apocalypse Now (1979) overweight and reportedly unfamiliar with much of the material. Director Francis Ford Coppola rewrote scenes around him and sometimes fed Brando lines during filming. The production was already difficult, with delays, illness, and conditions, so Brando added another challenge to this war epic.
