#6: Kate Winslet in Divergent (2014)
Files, tablets, cases. Jeanine Matthews seems to have an endless supply of things that need carrying, and suddenly they become much more interesting once you know why. Five months pregnant during her work on the film, Winslet was playing a character whose sleek, controlled appearance left little space for an unexplained belly. Neil Burger handled the problem less with one grand trick than with dozens of tiny decisions. A profile shot might require something held at waist level. Clothes had to be adjusted.
