Shhh!
There is one thing I don’t get about Airbnb visits and noise. I heard from a lot of people about their hosts giving them grief over the noise: either calling or texting them about it or giving them specific instructions on when they can and can’t make noise. Are Airbnb apartment walls made out of paper? Are Airbnb neighbors super sensitive? I mean, you live among people all your life in your regular home and noise is never (or at least rarely) a problem.
You move from one house to another, or from one apartment to another, you live among different neighbors in different neighborhoods, and no one ever tells you anything about the noise you’re making at home (unless maybe once a year when you’re having a really loud birthday party or something). Then you go on vacation to an Airbnb, and suddenly you have to whisper because you’re perceived to be as loud as a Metallica concert. What is that about?
