Neighborly Gesture
Amongst all of the hardships in her life, Klynn always had one thing in her day to look forward to. No matter how small or insignificant this might have been for others, it made all the difference to someone like Klynn. Every day when she would walk to school, she would wave to the police officer who had a constant posting on her street.
This policeman, officer Jeff Colvin always made the effort to share a friendly wave and a smile in Klynn’s direction. Even if it was just a small moment in time, Klynn was able to forget about all of her worries and issues at home and interact with someone who is a complete outsider in her life. Klynn had someone to confide in about things going on in her life, and Officer Colvin was there to listen.
