#13: Pray, Montana sold to one woman for $2.25 million
Even in 2025, apparently, a person could still buy something advertised as an entire American town. The privately held townsite of Pray, north of Yellowstone National Park, changed hands for $2.25 million after attracting international attention. The buyer, described publicly as a local woman who wanted to preserve the property’s character, acquired a collection that included a century-old general store, a working post office, rental cabins, a duplex, and development plans for additional dwellings.
