This photographer ventured into the wilds of Central America’s wildlife armed with a 200mm Nikkor macro lens to take some photographs. They were fortunate enough to have a second camera, which allowed them to get this breathtaking shot of a flambeau butterfly sitting on a macro lens.
Because of the mineral salts left behind from the photographer’s sweat, this butterfly decided to land on the lens. As it flies away from its victim, the butterfly drinks the water sitting on its meal’s surface.
