#21: A Pyrenean Ibex
A cloned Pyrenean ibex, born in Spain in 2003, became the first extinct animal brought back through cloning. The kid survived only a few minutes because of lung defects. Even so, the event entered scientific history and sparked debate about extinction and conservation possibilities for future endangered species efforts.
