Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi dominated men’s tennis throughout the 1990s, facing each other in many major finals. Their rivalry became even more personal after retirement when Agassi criticized Sampras in his autobiography Open (2009). A tense charity match later showed that their competitive feelings had never completely disappeared.
