Maternal Instinct
Adam didn’t hesitate. When he realized what was happening, he leapt out of bed and started running as fast as he could down the hallway. He was in a state of dread. He completed the task as rapidly as humanly could. Because his heart was racing as if there was no future, his veins were thumping and hammering as they carried the adrenaline that was running through his body to every area of his body.
Because his heart was beating so quickly, his veins delivered the adrenaline to every part of his body. His pulse was beating as if there were no more days in the future. His daughter’s safety was the one and only thing that mattered to him, thus he put an emphasis on getting to her as soon as it was physically possible to do so. This objective took precedence over all others.
