Muhammad Ali’s Sensitive Side
Muhammad Ali and his then-wife, Belinda Boyd, welcomed their fourth child, Muhammad Ali Jr., in May 1972. At the time, Ali was the heavyweight champion, having won the title in 1966.
Ali would not fight again for another three years, in the infamous Thrilla in Manila battle in 1975. Ali, who weighed 224 pounds, faced 215-pound Joe Frazier and won 2-1. The battle drew a record-breaking one billion spectators on international television and will go down in history as one of the greatest sporting events of all time.
