Explosions in the Sky formed in Texas in 1999 with Michael James, Munaf Rayani, Mark Smith, and Chris Hrasky. The instrumental quartet has kept the same lineup ever since, occasionally adding touring musicians for concerts. Their emotional post rock style has influenced film scores and inspired listeners around the world.
