Princess Charlene of Monaco
Before Charlene married into the Royal Family of Monaco, she was an incredibly successful competitive swimmer. She won three gold medals in the 1999 All-Africa Games at Johannesburg and a silver medal in the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. In 2011, she married Albert II, the reigning Prince of Monaco.
In 2014, the palace made a royal announcement that Charlene was bearing twins. She gave birth at the end of the year, and both will inherit the same royal treatment as their parents. As an influential figure, Charlene has used her power to raise awareness about poaching wild beasts in Africa, and she established the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, an organization that aims to raise awareness about drowning.
