Flying the Flags
Okay, I will admit – we Americans do enjoy flying the flag. We fly them on national holidays, display them on our cars and even wear them on our clothes. However, there are certain rules and customs for displaying the American flag, like flying it at half-staff to honor fallen soldiers or ensuring it’s illuminated at night.
According to the American Association of Flag Makers, the U.S. flag industry generates an estimated $3.6 billion annually. That’s a lot of red, white and blue! But, regardless of how you choose to display your flag, it’s a powerful symbol of national identity and pride in America. So, grab your flagpole and fly that baby high!
