Maternity Leave
Maternity leave is a sticky subject. Studies show that only about 14% of employers in the U.S. offer paid maternity leave. That means many new moms have to return to work soon after giving birth, whether they are ready or not! But let’s be real; not everyone agrees on how much maternity leave is enough.
Some think new mothers should have six months off, while others think three months is enough. And according to a report by the National Women’s Law Center, only 13% of civilian workers in the U.S. have access to paid family leave through their employer. So maybe we all need to sit down and agree on a final answer!
