#5: Silent Film Extra Work (1918)
In 1918, he entered the silent film industry, taking on small, often uncredited roles at a time when storytelling depended entirely on physical expression, since sound hadn’t yet arrived in production. These early appearances were minor and not widely recorded, but they placed him inside working film studios for the first time. It was here that he began to understand how movie production actually functioned behind the scenes. After years on stage, this marked his first real step into film work.
