#6: The Stolen Bikes Mystery
Multiple motorcycles were built so filming could continue whenever one broke down or was needed for a stunt. Near the end of production, most were stolen from storage and never recovered. The damaged Captain America machine used for the finale survived in pieces, while the others vanished into legend. Whoever took them may have thought they were stealing customized Harleys, not museum pieces. It remains cinema’s most valuable, enduring unsolved case of stylish barn clearance.
