Everyone Runs To The Rescue
Erin’s survival was nothing short of a miracle given that she was able to make it through the fall; nevertheless, once she arrived at the river’s bank, all she could do was wait. Screams and shouts could be heard coming from upstream, but she could only make out their approximate shape.
She was aware that they were heading in her direction, but she was unsure of her ability to evade them. She reflected, “There was nothing else I could do but cling on,” during that time of crisis. On the other hand, it appeared as though time flowed at the pace of a snail. “I just got it in my head that I’ve been in the water for half an hour,” she said.
