You may have already heard of multiple stories throughout your life involving animals saving human beings from national disasters or other sorts of danger. While all of those tales are impressive, this one takes the cake as one of the more touching and unusual cases. Deep in the Russian heartland, there’s a cat named Lucy who did the unthinkable and shocked the world. Just how did she do that you might ask? Well, stick around to hear one of the most heart-warming stories that prove animals should never be taken for granted and they deserve our respect.

Where do we begin
Our story takes place in Russia, for those of you who don’t know, it’s the giant country located next to Europe that spans into Asia. It’s the largest country on planet earth, big enough in fact that it has multiple time zones and an incredibly diverse landscape and people. Anything from mountains, to beaches, deserts to forests, Russia has it all. But our story takes place in the very north, a specific place called Siberia. Famous for vast forests and cold weather, it’s a place both very beautiful and dangerous. Only the strong can survive here, and in Russia, Siberia is known as their version of ‘the great white north’.
