Finding a place to belong
After a few years, Lucy would spend lots of time getting to know all the townsfolk and becoming part of the neighborhood. It was said by the people who lived there that they could see for the first time in her life, that she had found a home and a place she could belong to. Lucy would roam around, keep people company and usually be quiet and gentle. Because of the harsh weather conditions during the winter, she wasn’t just taken care of by Nicola, but by just about everyone in the building. This really cemented her place as the heart and soul of the small community.
