Time seems to tick in different ways for different people. We’ve all turned forty or fifty and looked at our high school classmates at the reunion, wondering how some of them are aging backwards, while others look like they’ve lived three lifetimes. And, as it turns out, Hollywood stars face that very same genetic lottery. Let’s take a look at some famous pairs who shared the exact same pop culture milestones but somehow ended up looking like they belonged to entirely different generations.
#1: Tom Cruise & Steve Carell (1962)
Both of these guys burst onto the planet in 1962, the same year the Beatles dropped their first single. In the 80s, Tom Cruise was the human version of a puppy in commercials for youth culture, flying fighter jets and sliding across living room floors. Meanwhile, Steve Carell took a slower route to fame, conquering comedy in his 40s.
