#4: Gary Coleman
“Whatcha talkin’ about Willis?!” is a line that was synonymous with Gary Coleman during the 80s. His career took off in 1978 when he played Arnold Jackson on Diff’rent Strokes, which lasted eight seasons. During the run of the hit series, Coleman was the highest-paid child actor on television, during which time he earned a whopping $100,000 per episode! For the rest of his life, he continued acting in TV shows (often as himself) until he tragically died of a hemorrhagic stroke at just 42.
