In 2010, The Trail Leading to Chris McCandless Took Its First Victim.
The year 2010 was a rerun of earlier years. Claire Achermann, a Swiss hiker who sadly passed her while attempting to follow in the footsteps of Chris McCandless, had the goal of retracing the routes that he had taken in his book “Into the Wild.” When Claire attempted to cross the Teklanika River, which was in a roaring state, she was met with a deluge of water.
She was unable to withstand the force of the stream, and as a result, she was carried away by the river. Etienne Gros joined in on the chat with Claire, bringing a fresh point of view to the table. It would appear that none of the individuals intended to arrive at Chris’ bus; rather, they were merely travelling in the same direction. Despite the fact that Claire had passed away, other people continued with the journey regardless of the circumstances surrounding her passing.
