Because of the Changed Conditions of the Trail, Chris McCandless was Ultimately Unsuccessful in His Attempt to Return Home.
Things took a fatal turn when he captured every feeling and detail of his trip along the way. Just two months after setting out into the bush, Chris was more than ready to make his way back to civilised society. Ultimately, he was completely clueless about how to get out of the predicament. On July 3, 1992, Chris gathered his stuff and set off on foot toward the Teklanika River to exit the national park.
He was unsuccessful in this endeavour. Despite this, there was a problem with something. When he first made his way across the river, it was merely a trickle at that point. In addition to being 75 feet wide, the water was raging because the ice was melting and thawing. This caused the water to be turbulent. Chris was left with no other option except to head back to the vehicle and wait for the matter to resolve.
