#8: The Fighting Style
Braddock was never boxing’s great dancer. His reputation rested on durability, counterpunching, a strong right hand, and an iron chin. He could spoil an opponent’s rhythm, absorb punishment, and stay in a fight long enough for frustration to become a tactic. His style was not glamorous, but it made emotional sense. He fought like a man used to being hit by life first. The ring was just a more formal version of the same argument.
