#6: SpongeBob Squarepants
SpongeBob SquarePants is one of the most popular and longest-running animated TV shows of our time. It first aired in 1999 and is still going pretty strong, with the 15th season released in 2023.
While some view the show as perfectly harmless and appropriate for kids, there are certain jokes and aspects of the show that are strictly for adults. The character of the always-bitter Squidward, for example, can be hard for kids to understand, as well as the greedy and sometimes rude Mr. Krabs.
