Staged at Shea Stadium on August 6, 1970, this historic follow-up event coincided exactly with the 25th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The massive benefit raised critical funds for anti-war political campaigns and featured an iconic lineup including Janis Joplin, Paul Simon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Miles Davis performing in the name of global disarmament.
