#9: Guns N’ Roses at The Ritz (1988)
This club show in New York was taped for MTV and helped define the band’s raw style. The setlist pulled from Appetite for Destruction, with “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Sweet Child o’ Mine” as the stars of the night. By then, the band of Los Angeles misfits had grown too big for that venue, and their performance made it clear that something much larger had arrived.
