My Culture, My Rules
Today, we’re going to learn a little lesson about the Americas. The Americas spans from its northernmost point—Cape Columbia in Canada—all the way down to the southernmost tip in South America—the Águila Islet in Chile. Any piece of land between those two points is a part of America.
Now, with that information in mind, anyone who originally comes from any part of the Americas is, by default, a Native American. Social studies would have us believe that Cherokees, Iroquois, Navajos, and countless other tribes are Native Americans, but what about those from Mexico? Again, you’d have to know the technical definition of “Native American.”
