#15: The M50 Reising Failed in Pacific Combat

The M50 Reising was adopted by the United States Marine Corps during World War II as a cheaper substitute for the Thompson submachine gun. In Pacific jungles, sand and grime caused frequent jams, and its hand-fitted parts complicated repairs. Some Marines abandoned it for the more dependable M1903 Springfield.
