A heavy price to pay
The war in Vietnam was a decade-defining conflict that was very controversial for its time. Many people did not believe in the war and did not want to go all the way across the world to fight in a jungle against an enemy they had no personal problem with at all.
Of course, the war didn’t end so well for the United States of America and its allies, but not just because of the situation on the ground, public pressure was high as well. We don’t blame these guys for trying to get out of the war, but they should have had a better plan in mind.
