No Friends Allowed
Growing up in a cult can be a lonely experience, especially when the cult forbids you from making friends outside of your community. It’s like being in a weird bubble where you can only interact with people who believe the same things as you. And let’s be real, that can get pretty boring.

Sure, there are benefits to spending all your time with people who share your beliefs, but what about the kids who just want to play soccer or have a sleepover with someone who doesn’t go to the same church as them? It’s no wonder that some people who grow up in these types of communities struggle with socializing outside of their religious bubble.
