#4: The Oldest Player
Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary became the oldest player ever to appear in a FIFA World Cup match when he played against Saudi Arabia in 2018 at 45 years and 161 days old. That is not just veteran status. That is “your teammates grew up watching you” status. He even saved a penalty in the match, because apparently breaking an age record was not enough of a flex for one afternoon.
