There are a few sentences you become familiar with when you work in customer service. The two most popular ones are probably “the customer is always right” and “I will never shop here again”, to which you answer “I don’t care” to each of them, under your breath of course.
Why is it that customers think we really care when they say that they threaten us? First of all, this isn’t even my store and I don’t get paid enough for this. And secondly, a customer who threatens so intensely isn’t a customer that we want to keep. Thank you for your business, goodbye.
