But after a while, the illusion that people can be kind is ripped away from you like your childhood blanket.

It is quite common in the world of customer service to feel as though there is a lot of pressure on you. Whether it be to do a good job, to do an efficient job, or do other people’s work as well, the pressure is always on. And sometimes it can all get to be a little too much.
There is nothing worse than when you are understaffed, trying to work as efficiently as you can and customers won’t stop piling into the store. Even though this is so stressful, at least it feels like the clock ticks faster than usual.
