#10: Cleaning the Vacuum Cleaner
Light switches and door handles are often overlooked but shouldn’t be: They’re practically the petri dishes of your home. From the kid fresh in from the outdoors to the adult fighting a pesky cold, light switches and door handles harbor all sorts of germs because we touch them constantly. While sanitizing after every use is unreasonable, aim to do a thorough cleaning each week (or more often during flu season). Just make sure to cut the power before introducing water to anything electrical.
