#12: Sanford Arms
Among the earliest spin-offs on our list, Sanford Arms was a continuation of Sanford and Son (1972-77). Sadly, only four of the eight episodes were aired from September to October 1977. In Sanford Arms, one of Fred’s friends, Phil Wheeler, moved into the Sanford’s home and attempted to make the boarding house next door a hotel. Unlike the other series spin-off Sanford, which featured one of the two original cast members (Redd Foxx), Sanford Arms couldn’t grab viewers’ attention without either Foxx or Demond Wilson.
