#33: Fantasia 2000
The 1940 release of Fantasia made waves as the first film of its kind, pairing Disney’s breathtaking and now-iconic visuals with sweeping orchestral compositions. The 2000 follow-up wasn’t as awe-inspiring as the first, simply because audiences weren’t as wowed by the format as they were sixty years prior. Cultural significance aside, the music is still beautiful, and the visuals are imaginative and engaging.
