#7: Dinosaur
While it wasn’t yet fully CGI like Chicken Little, Disney’s Dinosaur was their first film using computer animation. Combined with live animation, the 2000 film followed an adorable iguanodon named Aladar. Without a family of his own, Aladar is raised by lemurs and they all have to find a new home after meteors destroy theirs.
You may recall the series of dinosaur hand puppets given in Happy Meals at McDonald’s to celebrate the movie’s release. Dinosaur also became a ride at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. It took over the Countdown to Extinction ride. It is set to close in fall 2024 to be replaced by an Indiana Jones-themed ride.
