Working with Tim Burton was a Tremendous Nightmare.
Fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas are likely to remember the film’s ending, in which Oogie Boogie’s threads are unravelled and he dies. To Tim Burton’s dismay, Henry Selick had initially planned an alternate conclusion in which Oogie Boogie was revealed to be Sally (the protagonist’s love interest) father.
Burton even kicked a hole in the wall because he was so upset. It’s true that Burton had been working on the film for a long time, and he was highly committed in the original storyline.
