Alabamians swear by their pecan pies, made from locally grown pecan and filled with a gooey, sugary sweet concoction that will make it impossible to eat just one slice. Despite all that sugar, the pecan gives this delicacy a rich and nutty flavor, and the crust is almost always homemade, making this pie “slap yo’ mama good.”
