#8: Clackers
Clackers are pretty much what the name suggests: heavy acrylic balls on the ends of two strings that are tied together, making a loud “clacking” noise when swung. They were surprisingly addictive and extremely popular among children in the 1960s. Unfortunately, the design of clackers and the fact that you had to swing them to get them to clack led to many cases of injury, seeing clackers out by the next decade.
