#1: Sir Isaac Newton (1643-1727)
One of the most influential and famous scientists in history was Sir Isaac Newton. A key figure in the Scientific Revolution and the period of enlightenment that followed, English-born Newton was described in his time as a “natural philosopher.” Most well-known for his formulation of the laws of motion and universal gravitation, we still study his basic principles of modern physics in schools today.
