The Conjuring (2013) was based on cases investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren, including the Perron family haunting in Rhode Island. The Warrens claimed to document paranormal activity in several homes. Director James Wan adapted these accounts into a horror film about a family experiencing unexplained events in their farmhouse.
