Bob’s Burgers (2011) began with a much darker premise. Creator Loren Bouchard initially imagined a family running a restaurant where the owners were cannibals. Fox reportedly questioned whether cannibalism was necessary. The idea was dropped, and the series became a family comedy about burgers, business struggles, and everyday family problems.
