#13: Pee-wee’s Big Adventure Almost Adapted Pollyanna (1985)
Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (1985) was almost connected to Disney’s Pollyanna (1960), but Paul Reubens soon found a more personal idea. After receiving a bicycle with a sign reading Bicycle parking for Pee-wee Herman only, he developed a story around Pee-wee and his bike. That gift inspired the film’s central adventure.
