Toy Story (1995) originally centered on Tinny, a wind-up toy from Pixar’s Tin Toy (1988), and a ventriloquist’s dummy. The story was later reshaped into a buddy adventure, with Tinny eventually becoming the basis for Buzz Lightyear. Woody also changed from a ventriloquist dummy into the cowboy character audiences know today.
